What is a Korean lash lift?
Korean lash lifts are what my clients ask for most right now. Here I explain what it is, how the treatment is done, and what you need if you want to offer it yourself.

In short
A Korean lash lift is a lash lift where the goal is a soft, natural lift right from the root. The result should look like the client's own lashes, just more lifted and open. The technique comes from Korea and has spread quickly, because it gives a result that is easy to wear every day.
The best part is that the technique also works on short and straight lashes, which are often hard to give a nice lift.
How it is done, with two shields
What sets a Korean lash lift apart from other techniques is that the treatment is done on two shields. This is how I work with the Browlab system:
- Step 1: I mix approx. 20 % Structure Powder into step 1 and fix the lashes on a flat shield, so they lift straight up from the root.
- After the processing time I mix the powder into step 2 and move the lashes over to a curved shield. This is where the curl is set.
- Finally I apply step 3, which gives the lashes moisture, care and shine.
Processing time
As a guide, step 1 on lashes takes 8 to 10 minutes for thin hair, 10 to 11 minutes for medium and 11 to 12 minutes for strong hair. Step 2 gets approx. 9 minutes.
The times are guidance only. The hair's response decides, so I check the lashes as I go. The full method is in The Browlab Method, which professionals get as a PDF with their order confirmation.
Korean lash lifts in my studio
In my studio in Bergen I don't offer classic lash lifts. Clients get either a Korean lash lift with two shields, or my signature lash lift, which is my own technique between classic and Korean. Tint is always included.
What you need as a professional
Our Korean lash lift kit has everything you need for your first treatments: Flat Shields for the first step, Pro Shields to shape the lift, step 1, 2 and 3 in pump bottles and Structure Powder. The base in the pump bottles is thick enough for Korean lash lifts, and one kit covers approx. 20 lash lifts.
It is a cysteamine lash lift kit, not a thioglycolic acid system, and the formula is vegan and made in Italy.
If you want a clear, curved lift with a doe eye effect, Curve Shields work especially well for Korean lash lifts. Lash Lifting Adhesive is a professional lash lift glue from Korea, made to fix the lashes precisely on the shield.
The treatment products are sold only to professionals with an account.
Want to learn the technique?
On the Korean lash lift course you learn the technique from the ground up, 1:1 with me in Bergen. You choose one or two days, and you get a Pro Kit and a diploma. The course suits both newcomers and those who already know classic lash lifts.

Yes. The technique gives a soft lift from the root that also works on short and straight lashes.
Why are two shields used in a Korean lash lift?+
The flat shield is used in step 1, so the lashes lift straight up from the root. After the processing time the lashes are moved over to a curved shield, and that is where the curl is set.
